MEN'S RETREAT

April 12-April 14, 2013

We all need some time to get away from the city and take a break from our normal day to day routines. So come with us to Portage Lake Covenant Bible Camp in Onekama, MI and experience something different. This Men's retreat will be a great time to relax and hang out with your good friends!

Who: All North Park Undergrad and Seminary Men

When: Friday, April 12-Sunday, April 14.
Cost: $70 (Cost should not be a reason for you not to come. There are scholarships available if you cannot afford $70. The Camp has offered to provide scholarships as well as University Ministry. We will not let cost stop anyone from coming. Please contact Pete (peteyanderson@gmail.com) if you have any financial concerns and might need a scholarship. If it comes to it, we could sleep in the woods and hunt bears for food to keep the cost low.... just saying).

MENTORING PROGRAM

Here is an opportunity for undergraduate students to sign up to be placed with a seminary student mentor.  This is a change to be held accountable and challenged in your faith, as well as be guided through life choices and everyday living.  In order to best place you, we have a brief questionnaire form for you to fill out.

If you are an NPU undergraduate student looking to be set up with a mentor fill out this form here.

If you are an NPTS seminary student looking to mentor undergrad students fill out this form here

PRAYER
Prayer plays an important role in University Ministries, and a variety of opportunities exist for students. The Prayer Team is a group of students dedicated to weekly prayer for individual and corporate concerns of North Park and around the world. The team meets every Thursday evening in an on campus apartment for dinner, fellowship, and prayer.  A 24-hour prayer room is located near the UMin office and provides a place for students to get away and pray at any time.  A Women's Prayer Fellowship group meets every Friday morning at 8am in the prayer room.  Both of the regular prayer meetings are continually open for both new and returning students and staff to attend.  Contact Amy Oxendale with any questions you may have.

SMALL GROUPS
Small groups for this spring semester are still being formed.  If you are interested in being a part of a small group on campus contact Amy Oxendale to ask about your options.

Small Groups is one way we seek to do life together and grow as followers of Jesus. They are a way grow deeper in faith, in our self-understanding, and in fellowship with others.  Choosing to live intentionally off-center lives is not easy, but we don’t have to do it alone.  Being plugged into a Small Group is one way to walk this journey with others.
